Mission Statement
The Center for Creative Education’s (CCE) mission is to empower our students to grow academically, socially, and creatively through arts-based education.
Vision Statement
CCE envisions a world where each child has the opportunity to learn and grow in the way that meets their needs, and allows them to reach their full potential as citizens and contributors to society.
Benefits of Arts Integration
The Center for Creative Education has been using the arts as a teaching tool for more than two decades. Our approach encourages the 21st Century skills of critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity, which will help children thrive in schools and later in life as adults. The arts are critical to leveling the playing field of opportunity for children from low income areas. An ever-growing body of research indicates students with more arts education have higher academic achievement across the curriculum when compared to students who have less exposure. This method of instruction inspires children to enjoy education and realize that what they study in class has a correlation to real life. They become energized by project-based learning in a way that is difficult to duplicate when only reading from a book. In addition, arts integrated learning encourages life skills such as cooperation, compromise and team building.
