The Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties is providing an opportunity to address this need and opportunity through the Nonprofits Going Green Program. The goals of the overall Nonprofits Going Green Program include to raise awareness, capacity, motivation within the nonprofit community in Palm Beach and Martin Counties to improve the environmental sustainability of their operations and to raise public and corporate awareness and support for the nonprofit community. One of the components of the Nonprofits Going Green Program is the Nonprofits Going Green Contest.
Congrats to all of the winners of this year's 3rd Annual Nonprofits Going Green Contest! The winning nonprofits were honored at the annual awards luncheon on April 14, 2010 and announced in this media release. The 3rd Annual Nonprofits Going Green contest was sponsored by the Environmental Endowment Fund of the Community Foundation and our valued sponsors:

On October 19, 2009 the Community Foundation announced it is the first nonprofit to be certified by Green Nonprofits.org. To learn more please read the press release.
