Impact 100 Palm Beach County is a donor advised fund of the Community Foundation. Modeled after the national “Impact 100” groups, the goal of Impact 100 is collective giving – bringing charitable women together to make a singular impact. Impact 100 champions the “power of giving as one”. Each member of the fund casts a vote to award high-impact grants to a nonprofit in the areas of arts and culture,
education, environment, family and health and wellness in the southern Palm Beach County area (Lake Worth Road to the Broward County line). In total, Impact 100 has awarded more than $2.2 million to 38 organizations since its inception.
Each grant finalist presented to the women of Impact 100 at its award ceremony. Each $100,000 grant winner was selected by majority vote. The event was held at Lynn University’s Wold Theatre on Thursday, April 6, 2017.
“The Impact 100 model is all about efficient and effective philanthropy. Our members get to hear directly from the nonprofit organizations that would benefit from these grants, and we make our decision as one collective unit. Each and every $100,000 grant winner and finalist is a fine organization doing great things in our community, and we are thrilled we can support each and every one!” said Karen Sweetapple, co-president of Impact 100 Palm Beach County.
“The Impact 100 group is a fantastic model that has already inspired two other similar groups right in Palm Beach County. We are honored to host Impact’s donor advised fund as they continue to grow by leaps and bounds each year,” said Bradley Hurlburt, president and CEO at the Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties.
