Impact 100 Palm Beach County Grants
|
As a charitable fund of the Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties, we facilitate this by awarding at least one $100,000 transformational grant to a nonprofit in one of the following focus areas: Arts & Culture, Education, Environment, Family, and Health & Wellness. The grant recipient(s) will be selected by a vote of all Impact 100 Palm Beach County members at its annual meeting after a thorough proposal review process.
The goal of Impact 100 is to fund new, innovative activities that transform the community. Transformational philanthropy is visionary and takes risks, changes the way a community or organization operates, focuses on the issue first and the organization second, is willing to be daring, and shifts consciousness. Impact 100 Palm Beach County’s focus is transformational, as opposed to transactional, which revolves around institutional needs, fundraising goals, and the internal organization. We want to help you make your dream a reality and create positive change in our community.
Applying for an Impact 100 Grant
Impact 100 Palm Beach County has identified the following Focus Areas and will appoint committees to review grant applications in these categories.
Here is how Impact 100 Palm Beach County works: The Impact 100 Grants Committee reviews Letters of Inquiry and makes recommendations on inviting submissions of full proposals to the Impact 100 Board of Directors. After full proposals are received from selected applicants, they are reviewed, rated, and site visits are conducted. Based upon final recommendations of the Grants Committee, the Impact 100 Board of Directors selects five (5) finalists to invite to its annual meeting pending approval by the Community Foundation Board of Directors. At the annual meeting, one finalist representing each focus area makes a brief presentation about their transformational project, and a vote is taken and final decision made on the spot. The CFPBMC makes the grant award based upon the decision. The decision made at the Impact 100 Palm Beach County annual meeting is final.
